This Get Ready Weekend – we’re doing things a bit differently – we’re coming to you! On Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st September we’ll be out and about meeting the community to discuss bush fire readiness before the start of bush fire season (which starts on 1 October 2025). A big red truck and some RFS members can meet you on your property, discuss the upcoming season, tips and hints on bush fire preparedness and check your property and assets that could be at risk. We will have info kits and even gifts for young children to start them on their bush fire journey! Spaces will be limited over the two days, so register your interest NOW. Send us an email at canyonleighrfs@outlook.com or via Messenger with your name, address and best time for us to arrive between 10am and 2pm. We will get back to you to confirm or arrange an alternate time.
Want to visit us instead? We will have the fire shed open on Saturday 20th between 11am and 1pm. Meet with brigade members, discuss your fire plan and get some great advice too. Want to become a member of the RFS? We can discuss your membership as well.
