Our award-winning Women's Bush Fire Training event will be staged on Saturday 21st September 2019 – especially designed for the women of our community that need assistance with their Bush Fire Survival Plan and preparation of their property. Theory and practical fire drills are designed to enable you to cope with potential bush fire threats. Talks and instruction from experienced RFS members will take you through step-by-step bush fire training. We simulate real bush fire conditions, smoke, fire and emergency situations. You will learn to operate a fire fighting pump, use hoses, extinguishing a fire without water, how to dress and how to make a decision under duress. Will you cope?  Positions are limited to 12 people, with four people confirmed already. You don't have to be a member of the local community to attend - people from outside the area are welcome to participate. Its an all-day event and we provide a bbq lunch.
